Public Speaking at NTU
It was both an honour and a great pleasure to visit Nottingham Trent University on Tuesday.
Thank you Chris Parker for inviting me to talk to Year 2 Sports Science and Management BSc (Hons) students on how to handle presentations and interviews for their forthcoming presentations at Nottingham Forest FC.
I was really impressed by their honesty; they quite openly admitted how their emotions would change when presenting, resulting in panic, heavy heartbeat, clammy hands/sweat and brain fog, even though they knew their content.
I get it. I used to feel exactly the same.
Knowing how to get into your best state for presentations and interviews allows your brain to ‘think on purpose’ resulting in a first class performance every time!
Adequate preparation, sleep and knowing it ‘starts before it starts’ are a few of the key elements for success and great strategy
Good luck Year 2, you’re going to smash it 👏
